I used to be so addicted to hiding
Concealing the dark side of myself
Locking it somewhat safely behind a mask
That I wore whenever I faced the world
I tried but I couldn’t go on forever
Eventually the mask crumbled and fell off
So I had to find the Strength and Courage
To spill the truth for me to be free
Is everything different now?
Was it worth it being vulnerable?
Well, Yes. I see it all clearly now
Only way to deal with other people’s darkness
Is to fully embrace your very own
That is your Power
