  • My First Love

I have a mother who prays for me
And pleads with The LORD everyday for me
What a difference that makes for me
My mother’s prayers can’t save me
Only my own prayers can avail
But my mother introduced me to The One
And He can never ever fail
Some have had kings in their lineage
Some to whom honour was paid
    Some have immense worldly success
And trust in the riches they’ve made
But this is my surest asset
I have a mother who prays for me
And pleads with The LORD everyday for me
My GOD! What a difference that makes for me

  • MisUnderstood

From the day you were born
Most of you were given an obligation
That you should always understand your parents
Understand their age, their work, their pain
Understand their responsibilities & the times we live in
Understand that they don’t need to be perfect
They just need a perfect kid
    Understand that parents know everything
And you are just a kid
Understand that just because you have eyes
Doesn’t mean you have a point of view
Understand that you don’t know what’s best for you
People often ask, “what’s wrong with you?”
They seldom ask, “what happened to you?”
Yet everyone expects you to find your own way
    And somehow become someone
That your parents can be proud of
I don’t think broken children find the time to become
    I think they just are
And most stay as they are
    And I understand.

  • Am I Expedient?

    The man I have become

    Bounces along the edges
    Of anxiety and depression
    Wants to be alone
    Likes to be alone
    Finds a lot of time
    Just to be alone
    That is why I write
    That is how I write
