Life gets heavy sometimes friend
You don’t want to open your eyes
You don’t want to try again
You feel tired for no reason at all
And sometimes, everything’s just too much
But listen, rivers don’t turn around, they keep going
Even when the path is rough and the rocks are sharp
They just don’t stop moving forward and you can too
Sometimes life can feel like a kite stuck in a tree
But even a small breeze can set it free to fly again
You don’t need to be perfect, smiling all the time
Some days, just breathing is a huge win
You are allowed to rest without feeling lazy
Even the sun takes a break every night
And no one questions whether it will rise again
Some days you feel strong, some days you feel like shit
But you’re still here, and that means something
Don’t get stuck in the past, it’s already happened
You were not the same person you were back then
You’ve learned and grown, even though it doesn’t show yet
I know sometimes you ask yourself so many questions
Do I deserve this pain, this tired heart, these night tears?
But my friend, it is worth remembering something
That pain is a part of growth, no one sees the roots
They struggle in the dark but they’re the reason the tree stands tall
The heart doesn’t break to punish you
It breaks to let more love in, to draw you closer to God
He never said it would be easy, but He woke you up every morning after a long night
The path was never promised to be wide and straight
But it’s the one that’ll lead to somewhere worth reaching, like Heaven
Your heart never promised you it wouldn’t get broken
But it still can learn how to love again
The mirror never swore you’d always like what you see
But it still showed you someone real, and that’s you
We can’t keep looking for guarantees from a life designed on change
We’re all just trying to get through the rough days
We tell ourselves that it’s going to be okay
Even when it doesn’t feel like it at all
Life isn’t a race, it’s a quiet walk through changing seasons
You’re simply human and being human was never meant to be easy
So I will hold you when you need to be held
To let you know that it is okay not to be okay
When you will need someone to listen and understand
And talk about your life while staring into the trees over lunch
Whenever life keeps throwing those days you never planed for
I will be here to pat your back and offer you my hand
Life always gets so much worse before it gets better
As if it’s trying to test your will not to give up
Besides, it’s the failure that comes before the success
Which makes the success all the more happier
You’re brave and strong and beautiful, be gentle on yourself
