Not sure if I will make it out alive
I broke my heart in shattered pieces

I lost my perspective, sometimes it’s hard
To see how far I’ve made it, out of the dark

She was afraid to love me at first
I think it probably scared her
She was the type to like things
That were concrete, like the ocean
Something the you could point to

I think that’s why she always struggled
With loving someone, she couldn’t touch it
